Liverpool Secured

Published by Jack Ying at 12:05 pm under UEFA Champions League

I thought it will be a hardship for Liverpool, but Rafa Benitez and his boys proved that they’re still strong as usual after beating Italian giant Inter Milan who used to have a good form. Unfortunately, infamous Matterazi got booked and sent off. He will be absent for the next match against Liverpool at home side, San Siro. The terrific result brought Benitez a relief since his last few games. However, Liverpool has to win Middlesbrough in Premiership 3 days later to ensure the staying of their manager in Anfield.

Dirk Kuyt and captain Steven Gerrard netted the win in the last 5 minutes. I felt that Liverpool always performs the same style in nearly every match. Scoring in the last minutes can also be one of the good strategy for Liverpool just like what they did to AC Milan and West Ham to win the tournament cups. Honestly, that playing style is not my cup of tea, but Liverpool’s spirit and confidence are my likes. Even AC Milan scored 3 goals in the 1st half but Liverpool managed to overturn the situation and won the UEFA Champions League trophy.

After the match, I am sure Liverpool stands a better chance to continue their title chasing. But, Inter Milan is still a factor to be worried on.
