Defoe Moved To Portsmouth

Tottenham striker, Jermaine Defoe who has been loyal to Spurs decided to move to Portsmouth. The striker has a hard time finding his 1st team position in Spurs when Bulgarian and English stiker, Dimitar Berbatov and Darren Bent trasnfered to Tottenham. This put him harder to achieve a stable 1st team chance when Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov’s partnership brought Tottenham as many goals as possible.

On the final day of transfer window in January, Portsmouth was said to chase him for the replacement of Portsmouth top forward, Benjaini Mwaruwari. Reports were confirmed that Defoe signed a long term contract with Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee.
