Carling Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg
The 1st leg of Carling Cup will be played by both strong ms in EPL which are Gunners (Arsenal) and Hotspurs(Tottenham). The game will be playing on Wednesday at Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal has a home advantage.
A year ago, these 2 teams also meet at semi-final of Carling Cup. Tottenham led 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the semi-final first leg, only to experience the familiar heartache of the Gunners coming back at them to draw 2-2, then going on to win the second-leg 3-1 after extra-time at the Emirates.
Definitely, this is a deja-vu for Tottenham in this competition. Well, I think the key-men of Tottenham in winning the match are Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov, Spurs’ vice captain Robbie Keane and the coach, Sergio Ramos. By my prediction, Arsenal’s keeper will be German’s first team Lehmann. By the way, young gunners like Eduardo and Bendtner are gaining their goal form ‘match by match’. Obviously, Wednesday will be a hard day for Tottenham.
Not forgetting about this weekend Premiership, Arsenal will be facing Birmingham City. So, basically Arsene Wenger will concentrate fully on this Carling Cup. As for Tottenham, I think they need to rest some of the 1st team in this match. Hotspurs will be competing with THE BLUES, Chelsea is one of the strongest team in Europe. Statistically, Tottenham has a chance to win the gunners, more than Chelsea. By the way, there’re 3 days to rest for the 1st team. Hence, I expect Jermaine Defoe and Darren Bent to appear in the 1st leg game due to some strategies of RAMOS…
So, I’m likely looking forward to watching this crash of titans. In my opinion, Arsenal will win against Hotspurs with a victory of 2-1.
